Tall Pine Roofing serves Hooksett from our shop in Deerfield, about twenty-five minutes east. As a roofing contractor in Hooksett we work on single-family homes, condominium associations, and commercial buildings along the Route 3 and Route 28 corridors. We are an Owens Corning Preferred Contractor, fully insured, Google Guaranteed, and every installation carries a 25-year transferable workmanship guarantee alongside manufacturer coverage of up to 50 years on qualifying shingles.
Hooksett Is a Different Kind of Job
Most of the towns we serve are rural. Hooksett is not — with roughly 15,000 residents, an interstate through the middle, a university, and a substantial commercial strip, it has a more varied building stock than anywhere else in our core area. That changes what a roofing contractor needs to be good at here.
Mid-Century Homes and Thin Attics
A large share of Hooksett’s residential stock dates from the 1950s through the 1970s — ranches, split-levels, and capes built as the town grew alongside Manchester. These houses share a predictable set of problems. Attic insulation was installed to the standards of the day, which is roughly a third of what is recommended for this climate now. Soffit ventilation is often minimal or blocked by insulation pushed into the eaves. Bath fans sometimes vent into the attic rather than through the roof.
Put together, that is a recipe for ice dams and for shingles that age faster than they should from heat underneath. We look at the attic as part of the roof, because on a Hooksett ranch the ventilation is frequently the actual problem and the shingles are just where it shows.

Condo Associations and Commercial Buildings
Hooksett has considerably more multi-family and commercial property than the rural towns around it, and those jobs run differently. An association roof means phased scheduling so residents are not all displaced at once, clear written communication with a board rather than a single homeowner, and documentation that satisfies a management company. We do that work and we are comfortable with the process.
Commercial buildings along the Route 3 and 28 corridors are often low-slope, which means membrane rather than shingles. We install both EPDM and TPO systems and can walk you through which suits the building, the budget, and how the roof gets used.
What We Do in Hooksett
- Residential roof replacement — architectural asphalt and metal, with ice-and-water barrier at eaves and valleys.
- Commercial and flat roofing — membrane replacement for businesses and condominium associations.
- Attic ventilation and ice dam correction — soffit baffles, ridge venting, and air sealing.
- Repairs and leak diagnosis — flashing, chimneys, skylights, valleys, storm damage.
- Siding, windows, doors, gutters, and decks.
We tarp the building before tear-off, clean up at the end of every workday, and finish with detailed magnetic sweeps of the drive and grounds. On a condo property with shared parking that final sweep matters a great deal — nails in a residents’ lot generate complaints for weeks.
Estimates are free and carry no obligation, and $0-down financing with low-interest options is available on residential work.
Hooksett Roofing FAQs
Do You Work With Condo Associations?
Yes. Association work needs phased scheduling so residents are not all disrupted at once, written communication a board can circulate, and proof of insurance a management company will accept. We are set up for that. Our condo roofing page covers the process in more detail.
My 1960s Ranch Ices Up Every Winter. Will a New Roof Fix It?
Not on its own, and we would rather say so up front. Ice dams come from heat escaping into the attic, so the fix is air sealing, insulation, and ventilation. What a new roof does add is ice-and-water barrier at the eaves, which stops backed-up water getting through while you address the cause. Best results come from doing both. Our ice dam guide explains why.
EPDM or TPO for a Flat Commercial Roof?
It depends on the building. EPDM is a proven rubber membrane, typically black, cost-effective and very durable. TPO is usually white, reflects heat and can reduce cooling load, and is welded rather than glued at the seams. We will look at the deck, the drainage, rooftop equipment, and how the space below is used before recommending one.
Do I Need a Permit in Hooksett?
Typically yes for a full replacement, and typically not for minor repairs. Commercial and multi-family work can carry additional requirements. We handle permitting as part of the job and confirm current rules with the town on each project rather than assuming.
