These Terms govern all roofing services, including replacements, repairs, estimates, and related activities provided by Tall Pine Roofing in New Hampshire and Maine. Please read these Terms carefully before proceeding with our services.
1. Scope of Services
Tall Pine Roofing provides professional roofing services, including but not limited to:
- Roof replacements and repairs.
- Installation of roofing materials, including Owens Corning products.
- Window and door replacements and repairs.
- Free on-site estimates.
- Siding and gutter installations through trusted subcontractors.
- Financing options through third-party partners, such as Service Finance.
All services are subject to a detailed proposal or contract provided to you, outlining the scope, timeline, materials, and costs. Any changes to the agreed-upon scope must be approved in writing by both parties.
2. Free Estimates
We offer free on-site estimates for roofing projects. Estimates are based on the information provided and observations during the site visit. Estimates are valid for 30 days unless otherwise stated. Acceptance of an estimate constitutes an agreement to proceed with the services outlined, subject to these Terms.
3. Payment Terms
- No Upfront Deposit: Tall Pine Roofing does not require an upfront deposit for roofing projects unless explicitly stated in the contract.
- Payment Schedule: Payments are due as outlined in the contract, typically upon project completion or in installments for larger projects. For financed projects, payments are subject to the terms of the third-party financing agreement.
- Financing Options: We partner with Service Finance to offer financing plans, including $0 down and up to $100,000 with 1-3 day approval. Financing is subject to credit approval and terms set by Service Finance. Tall Pine Roofing is not responsible for financing disputes or denials.
4. Project Timeline
- Most residential roofing projects are completed in one day, subject to weather, material availability, and project complexity.
- Delays due to unforeseen circumstances (e.g., hidden structural damage, inclement weather, or supply chain issues) will be communicated promptly. Tall Pine Roofing is not liable for delays beyond our control.
- Customers must provide reasonable access to the property during agreed-upon work hours.
5. Warranties
- Manufacturer Warranty: All roofing installations include a 50-year manufacturer warranty from Owens Corning, subject to the manufacturer’s terms and conditions. This warranty covers material defects and is managed directly by Owens Corning.
- Workmanship Guarantee: Tall Pine Roofing provides a 25-year Workmanship Guarantee, covering defects in installation performed by our team. This guarantee does not cover damage from natural disasters, improper maintenance, or modifications by third parties.
- Warranty Claims: To file a warranty claim, contact us at [insert contact email/phone]. Claims must be submitted in writing with supporting documentation. We will inspect and address valid claims promptly.
- Exclusions: Warranties do not cover normal wear and tear, acts of God (e.g., storms, floods), or damage caused by customer negligence or unauthorized repairs.
6. Customer Responsibilities
- Property Access: You must provide clear access to the work area, including removing obstacles (e.g., vehicles, outdoor furniture) and securing pets.
- Permits and Approvals: You are responsible for obtaining any necessary permits, homeowner association approvals, or other permissions unless otherwise agreed in writing.
- Site Preparation: You must notify us of any underground utilities, septic systems, or other hazards before work begins. Tall Pine Roofing is not liable for damage to unmarked utilities.
- Decision-Making: You or an authorized representative must be available to make decisions during the project, either on-site or via timely communication.
7. Subcontractors
Tall Pine Roofing may engage trusted subcontractors for specific tasks, such as gutter or siding installations. Subcontractors are vetted for quality and professionalism, and their work is covered under our Workmanship Guarantee unless otherwise stated.
8. Liability and Insurance
- Insurance: Tall Pine Roofing maintains general liability and workers’ compensation insurance. Certificates of insurance are available upon request.
- Property Damage: We take reasonable care to protect your property during work. Any accidental damage caused by our team will be repaired at our expense. We are not liable for pre-existing damage or damage caused by factors beyond our control (e.g., severe weather).
- Personal Property: You are responsible for removing or protecting personal items (e.g., patio furniture, decorations) from the work area. We are not liable for damage to items left in the work zone.
- Limitation of Liability: To the maximum extent permitted by law, Tall Pine Roofing’s liability for any claim arising from our services shall not exceed the total amount paid for the project. We are not liable for indirect, consequential, or punitive damages.
9. Cancellation and Termination
- Customer Cancellation: You may cancel a project before work begins by providing written notice at least 48 hours in advance. If materials have been ordered or custom-fabricated, you may be responsible for associated costs.
- Termination by Tall Pine Roofing: We reserve the right to terminate a project due to non-payment, unsafe working conditions, or customer non-compliance with these Terms. In such cases, you will be responsible for costs incurred up to the termination date.
- Financing Cancellation: If financing is denied, you may cancel the project without penalty, provided no work has begun.
10. Privacy
We collect personal information (e.g., name, email, phone) to provide estimates and services. Your information is protected under our Privacy Policy and will not be shared or sold to third parties except as required to perform services (e.g., financing applications) or comply with legal obligations.
11. Dispute Resolution
- Negotiation: Any disputes arising from these Terms or our services shall first be addressed through good-faith negotiation between the parties.
- Mediation: If negotiation fails, disputes shall be submitted to non-binding mediation in [insert city, NH or ME], with costs split equally.
